What is an EMOM circuit?
EMOM stands for Every Minute On the Minute.
Complete the prescribed number of reps for each exercise at the top of the minute and rest for the rest of the minute until the next exercise.
AMRAP workouts have an established circuit of exercises and rep counts - the goal is to complete the circuit as many times as possible in the alloted time.
How long should an EMOM circuit be?
EMOM circuits are typically around 10 or 20 minutes long.
They are typically designed so that the exercises are varied for each minute, with enough time to complete the reps for some rest time before the alloted minute is up.
Can EMOM circuits be used across a range of fitness levels?
Yes, you can prescribe two choices of rep counts for your clients or you can suggest an alternate movement such as knee assisted pushups instead of a full pushup.
How do you create an EMOM circuit in IntervalCam?
Just click on the "Add Exercise Block" dropdown and select "Add Interval Block"
For the exercise name, type in a movement such as "10 Pushups" and for the time type in "1:00"
You can copy and paste the exercise block and rename the exercise name for easy entry of multiple EMOM blocks.
